Four years after leaving Real Madrid, James Rodriguez could be about to make his return to the Spanish capital. He won’t be re-joining Los Blancos, but rather, it would be to sign for Rayo Vallecano.
James has been Rayo’s great desire for several weeks. They’ve been in talks with the 33-year-old ever since he terminated his Sao Paulo contract – a move that would mean that he would sign for Los Franjirrojos as a free agent.
As per Marca, James has already arrived in Madrid to continue negotiations with Rayo officials. The club needs to find the necessary economic formulas that would allow the signing to be completed, but once that is achieved, the expectation is that a deal can be completed.
James has been seeking a return to La Liga ever since leaving Sao Paulo, and he’s about to get his wish. Rayo are about to get theirs too, barring any last minute setbacks.
