Barcelona will listen to offers for senior defender, Al-Ittihad among clubs interested

Barcelona have three departures in the pipeline: Ilkay Gundogan (free transfer to Manchester City), Vitor Roque (loan to Real Betis) and Mikayil Faye. That should be enough to ensure the registration of Dani Olmo, but club officials are still determine to finalise more exits before the summer transfer window closes next week.

Talk of a departure for Andreas Christensen has advanced in recent days, and according to Relevo, Barcelona will entertain offers for the 28-year-old defender. Hansi Flick does not appear to count on him, given that he did not start last weekend’s La Liga opener against Valencia.

Christensen is reportedly open to leaving Barcelona before next week’s deadline, although the circumstances would need to be favourable. Al-Ittihad are very keen, although it’s yet to determined whether the lure of football in Saudi Arabia is enough for the Danish international star.

If Christensen does not entertain the interest shown by Al-Ittihad, a return to the Premier League would be his most likely destination. Either way, it’s becoming more and more likely that he leaves Barcelona before the end of next week.
