It’s no secret that Barcelona are desperately trying to organise departures so that their wage bill is reduced enough to secure Dani Olmo’s registration. The club is currently in a race against time to ensure that the big-money signing can play against Athletic Club on Saturday, although the match may come too soon.
Ilkay Gundogan, Vitor Roque and Mikayil Faye are all close to leaving, and while their combined saved salaries may be enough to free up the space required for Olmo, it’s far from a guarantee. However, if Clement Lenglet’s loan move to Atletico Madrid were to also be finalised, that would undoubtedly be enough.
However, there is now a strong chance that Lenglet does not end up at Atleti, despite an agreement on personal terms having been reached. David Hancko is closing in on a move to the Civitas Metropolitano, and according to Sport, he would be the only centre-back signed by Los Colchoneros before the end of the summer transfer window.

Atletico Madrid have submitted their final offer for Hancko, and while there is optimism that Feyenoord will accept, Barcelona will be desperate for the proposal to be turned down. If it were to be, Lenglet would inevitably head to the Spanish capital, although at this stage, that looks unlikely to happen.

This would have been a great opportunity for Arsenal to make a move for right footed Fermin Lopez who is a super attacking midfielder. Barcalona’s financial problems will compel them to sell. Going for him will improve the fortunes of Martinelli and Nketiah, who doesn’t like too many left footers being around them.
Since Arteta came to Arsenal, all our central and attacking midfield purchases are all left footers and this doesn’t mean we’ll for the trio of Martinelli, Nketiah and Nelson.
Both Partey and Rice are defensive midfielders and are not creative enough to assume the role of any of central or attacking midfield. They ought to be rotated.
Right footed Dani Olmo would have been the best but since we missed him, high rising Fermin Lopez will certainly be our main target. He will restore both Martinelli and Nketiah to life.
