Barcelona President Joan Laporta hoping to seal €60m in salary limit space from two deals

Barcelona are still struggling for space in their salary limit to register players, with Dani Olmo currently unavailable for manager Hansi Flick. One of the ways of creating space is through players sales, but President Joan Laporta is keen to get two deals over the line away from the pitch too.

One of those deals, which according to Marca would allow them to spend an extra €40m on player wages and fees, is their sponsorship deal with Nike. Talks have been ongoing for several months with the American sportswear brand over a new 10-year agreement.

The other avenue of progress comes from providing the last €20m they were due for Barca Vision by the end of June, after an agreement with Aramark provided them with €40m. The Madrid-based outlet say that Bridgeburg Invest are willing to front this money.

The Nike agreement has been reported as imminent for several months now, and is still yet to go through. The Bridgeburg Invest money is slightly more confusing – they are the holding company for Barca Vision. It is not entirely clear how they could invest €20m to buy shares in their own company.
