Real Betis no longer pursuing deal for Borussia Dortmund forward, Vitor Roque prioritised

Real Betis are closing in on the signing of Vitor Roque, who’d join from Barcelona on a season-long loan. The teenager has prioritised a move to the Benito Villamarin over a permanent offer from Sporting CP, who also had a proposal accepted by Deco, the Catalan club’s sporting director.

Roque will be the final piece in the striker puzzle for Betis. He will compete alongside Cedric Bakambu and Chimy Avila for the starting berth, and his impending arrival is bad news for Youssoufa Moukoko, who had also been in talks to join Los Verdiblancos on loan (with an option/obligation to buy.

As per Bild, Betis have officially ended their interest in Moukoko – and this is very bad news for Dortmund. The German attacker is seeking a move away, but for now, there are no offers on the table for him.

Betis won’t care much about Dortmund’s predicament, they’ll just be happy to be getting Roque – provided that there are no last-minute setbacks.
