Como to sign 19-year-old midfielder as Real Madrid prepare to part ways with another young talent

Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez and Joselu Mato are the only three first team players that Real Madrid have parted ways with this summer, and in each case, they made no money. Despite this, they have accumulated a very nice amount of funds through the sale of La Fabrica talents – a method that is set to continue.

The likes of Rafa Marin, Alex Jimenez and Juanmi Latasa have all generated funds for Real Madridl, and the latest player that will do so is Nico Paz. Despite being a highly-valued player by Los Blancos officials, the 19-year-old midfielder finds his pathway to the first team blocked. As such, he will continue his development elsewhere.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Como are close to agreeing a deal with Real Madrid to sign Paz on a permanent basis. The operation would ensure that the reigning La Liga and Champions League champions retain a sell-on clause and buy-back clause, the latter of which they can trigger when they feel necessary.

Como could be the perfect place for Paz to improve, as he’d be learning from a certain Cesc Fabregas – he’s head coach of the Serie A newcomers. Real Madrid will hope that he develops well, and there’s no doubt that they will have an eye on him during his time in Italy.
