Bayern Munich have accepted Alphonso Davies exit to Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s squad is closed according to manager Carlo Ancelotti, despite continued reports that they might be in the market for a defender. Los Blancos have made just two signings this summer, albeit one of them is of considerable prestige in Kylian Mbappe, and the other being Endrick Felipe is not low profile either.

Although the various Madrid-based outlets continue to claim that the right opportunity in the transfer market, referring to a central defender. The other player in question is Bayern Munich’s left-back Alphonso Davies, who Los Blancos have been heavily linked with.

Prior reports suggested that Real Madrid could make a move for him late in the transfer window, but Matteo Moretto has explained that Davies is more likely to arrive on a free next summer than late in this transfer window.

While previously Bayern had hoped to convince Davies to sign a new deal, or secure a €50m sale for the Canadian, the Bavarian giants have now accepted that he will leave on a free transfer next summer. He will be the second player to make that move in recent years, after David Alaba did the same.
