Bayern Munich prepared to increase offer for Alphonso Davies in order to stop 2025 Real Madrid move

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has re-iterated on multiple occasions that there will be no more arrivals this summer at the newly-crowned UEFA Super Cup champions. That’s bad news for Alphonso Davies, who had been strong linked with making the move from Bayern Munich before the closing of the transfer window later this month.

Davies has been a long-term target for Real Madrid, who will now hope to sign him on a free next summer when his Bayern contract is projected to expire. Earlier this week, it was reported that a pre-agreement is already in place between the two parties, similar to the one that existed with Kylian Mbappe.

Bayern are not aware of this, and they have not given up hope of agreeing a new deal with Davies. Florian Plettenburg has reported that club officials are prepared to up their offer for the 23-year-old defender, although it would depend on his performance during the 2024-25 campaign.

Davies has already rejected multiple new contract offers from Bayern, so if an increased offer does not arrive, it would be inevitable that he joins Real Madrid next summer. For now, the situation remains open.
