Atletico Madrid and Chelsea currently have a frosty relationship because of the collapse of Samu Omorodion’s move to the Premier League giants. That also caused the deal for Conor Gallagher to be placed on hold, with the English midfielder having returned to the United Kingdom earlier in the week.
Since the deal for Samu collapsed, Atleti and Chelsea have been discussing the possibility of Joao Felix re-joining the Londoners – this time, on a permanent basis. According to Ruben Uria, an agreement is still pending, with the latest offer having been rejected by Los Colchoneros.

Chelsea’s latest offer was worth €45m, more than what they were set to pay for Samu (€40m). However, Atleti only intend to sell Felix is their asking price – €60m – is met.
Atletico Madrid are still incredibly annoyed with Chelsea because of the breakdown in the Samu deal last week. Because of this, it’s unlikely that any leeway will be afforded during their discussions for Felix.
