Predicted Teams Atalanta-Real Madrid: Kylian Mbappe to make debut as Eduardo Camavinga injury has impact

Real Madrid take to action for the first time this season against Atalanta in the European Supercup final, the curtain-raiser for international competition. The headline act is new signing Kylian Mbappe though.

There had been some doubts about whether he would be reserved for action from the bench, but most believe he will feature from the start. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that the players who won the Champions League would be given the chance to win the next trophy.

Toni Kroos and Nacho Fernandez have left the club, meaning Mbappe could be one of those replacements, while Eduardo Camavinga injured himself in training the night before. In defence, Eder Militao is expected to take Nacho’s place. Outside of that, Diario AS, who predict the same side, believe it will be the team that began the Champions League final.

Atalanta have been going through a number of issues in the lead up to the game themselves, with star player Teun Koopmeiners holding out for a move to Juventus. Star players Giorgio Scalvini, Nicolo Zaniolo and Gianluca Scamacca are all out with injury too, as Gian Piero Gasperini looks to set up in his customary 3-4-3, with Mario Retegui leading the line.
