Saudi Arabian offer for Real Madrid star could reach around €400m

For a player starring for Real Madrid, and earning tens of millions of euros every year, many might think money is no object for Vinicius Junior, but Saudi Arabia are willing to test that theory.

Reports on the amounts Vinicius could earn at Al-Ahli have varied, but most agree he could earn in excess of €1b. However in order to get there, he would have to decide to leave Los Blancos, and Real Madrid would have to negotiate a deal for 24-year-old.

Vinicius is expected to continue at Real Madrid, even if he has not outright rejected the Saudi approach, while Real Madrid await a mammoth offer. So far they are simply referring the Saudi suitors to his €1b release clause, after a phone call with General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez. Diario AS say that their offer could be reach around €400m for the Brazilian though.

Certainly Real Madrid will not want to lose arguably the best forward in the world alongside Kylian Mbappe, but if that sort of offer comes in for any player, there is a certain logic to accepting it. It may be that they feel they cannot do much more with that money on the market, but it’s a tempting offer, which would close to double the current €222m transfer record.
