Real Madrid stars react to Kylian Mbappe arrival – “He is going to contribute a lot”

Real Madrid will kick off their 2024-25 campaign on Wednesday night with the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta in Warsaw. The great novelty of the match will be Kylian Mbappe’s long-awaited debut for Los Blancos, following his move from Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the summer.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media ahead of the final (via Diario AS), and he revealed that Mbappe has adapted well to life at Real Madrid, despite arriving late due to his involvement at Euro 2024.

“Mbappe has arrived well. We haven’t had time but we’re very good and he’s arrived in good shape. Everyone here can play tomorrow.”

Dani Carvajal and Federico Valverde were all present at the press conference, and they also reacted to being teammates with Mbappe.

Carvajal: “I’ve suffered against him in the past, and I’m sure that he’s going to help us a lot.”

Valverde: “He’s one of the best in the world. He is going to contribute a lot.”

Mbappe and Real Madrid will fancy their chances of winning the first trophy of their season on Wednesday. It’s not yet known whether the 25-year-old will be handed his first start by Ancelotti, but it would not be surprising in the slightest if he were to play alongside Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes in attack.
