Barcelona presented their team and the new coaching staff to the fans at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys at Montjuic on Monday night, with the two headline acts Hansi Flick, their new manager, and Dani Olmo, their new star signing.
The German manager greeted the crowd in Catalan, before switching to English to explain that the Blaugrana were focused on achieving their goals. Notably Flick is still not fully comfortable in Catalan or Castellano.

Meanwhile Olmo, who is still yet to give his first press conference as a Barcelona player, also addressed the fans. He told the fans he was pleased to be home.

“I am very happy to return home, it is a dream come true. I really want to wear this shirt and this badge again. I have come to win. We have a great team, a great fan and a great club, we will go for everything this season.”
Olmo started the Gamper friendly on the bench, while Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia and Fermin Lopez are all missing the tie, rested after their exertions at the Olympics, in which they won gold on Friday with a 5-3 win in extra time over France. Barcelona start their season on Saturday with a trip to Mestalla to face Valencia.
