Barcelona could rival Real Madrid for Liverpool contract rebel Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold will look to decide his future before the end of 2024.

The Reds academy product has developed into one of the world’s best right backs in recent seasons, but what he plans to do next is undecided.

The England international is into the final year of his deal at Anfield, and the club are prepared to offer him an extension, if he is convinced by the long term plan on Merseyside.

As per a fresh update from the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have already reached out to his representatives, to register their interest in the 25-year-old.

However, alongside interest from the Spanish capital, Barcelona also flagged up an interest, with Alexander-Arnold available to open free transfer talks with a non-English club at the start of 2025.

Los Blancos are in a position to offer the strongest financial package from all three with Liverpool’s trump card based on Alexander-Arnold wanting to dedicate his career to his hometown club.

  1. No Feargal “Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold will look to decide his future before the end of 2024.” As much as you Spaniards would love to get TAA for Nada/Nothing – LFC will not let him run down his contract till the end of the year – just to suit cheapskate Spanish Clubs attempting/ trying to pick up top class players for nothing…if TAA does not recommit he will be sold to highest bidder by LFC (resulting in a return for their nurturing the player all these years) and it would appear that will not be Real or Barca because they want to pick him up for nothing don’t they!!!!

    1. Bro thinks there is loyalty in business. 🤣

He will go where there are greater chances of winning highest accolades. We can disregard Barcelona in that sense.

That leaves a club that can afford him. We can disregard Barcelona in that sense as well.

If Real really wants him they will get him. I personally dont think he is the right fit.
