Premier League club make move to sign Barcelona outcast Vitor Roque

It appears settled that Barcelona will not look to sell Vitor Roque this summer, following discussions between sporting director Deco and the player’s agent, Andre Cury. A loan will be sought, with the idea of the teenager remaining in La Liga to continue his development closer to home.

However, all of this could be thrown one of the window – somewhat. According to Bar Canaletes, Bournemouth – who are already about to sign Julian Araujo – are now plotting a move for Roque. In principle, a loan with an option to buy would be the operation that is sought by the Premier League, who recently sold star striker Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur.

Barcelona are likely to be willing to green-light a deal, as long as the buy option is above what they paid to Athletic Paranaense last summer. The problem that Bournemouth may have is that Roque and Cury may decide against the move, as their preference is to join another club in La Liga.
