Dani Olmo completes first Barcelona training session ahead of AS Monaco clash

Dani Olmo could make his Barcelona debut against AS Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 12.

The Spanish international finally completed his long awaited return to Catalonia from RB Leipzig after a deal was struck between the two clubs.

The package is believed to be costing Barcelona €55m, plus €7m in variables, four of which are easier to fulfil, and three are based on more difficult objectives.

His contract runs until 2030 and his adaptation has been immediate back in his homeland.

Despite the closeness of the new season, he was involved in his first training session this morning, and could feature against the French side.

Initial indications hinted at Barcelona holding him back for the La Liga season start next weekend but a role against AS Monaco will help his adjustment.

However, Brazilian international Vitor Roque is not expected to feature, after being sent home from training by the club’s medical staff. due to illness
