On the final day of last summer’s transfer window, Barcelona completed the double signing of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid respectively. They were seen as significant feats at the time, although neither player had a particularly good season in Catalonia.

They both returned to their parent clubs earlier this summer, and for now, it’s far from certain that either will be back. Of the two, Cancelo is perhaps the most likely, especially as Barcelona have just agreed to sell Julian Araujo to Bournemouth.
As per Sport, Cancelo only wants to return to Barcelona. He’s been approached by Juventus and clubs in Saudi Arabia, but his mind is at Can Barca.
Barcelona are prepared to re-sign Cancelo, despite a poor season in 2023-24 and his position already being filled. A loan offer worth €7m has been sent to Man City, with a buy clause worth €20m added in. The reigning Premier League champions are not prepared to consider anything other than a permanent deal – it means that the two clubs won’t agree terms for now.

That is not a 27€m purchase offer, it is a 7€ loan offer with an unenforceable buy option which they will not carry through when Cancelo is 31 YOA.

He was the most outstanding player for Barca last season both from d right back and the left back at times he is even used as a winger if Barcelona let a player like cancelo go they don’t know what they are doing
Its apparent you haven’t watched crunch games such as EL Clasico or loss vs PSG where his rash acting and lack of awareness cost them eliminations from both competitions. Hasn’t been outstanding in Copa either.
