Barcelona have made an addition to their technical staff, with son of Roberto Mancini, Andrea set to join the club.
As reported by Sport, Mancini junior will work with Sporting Director Deco, although it is not yet clear what his role will be. The 31-year-old is set to arrive next week, and his expected to join Vice-President Rafa Yuste, Head of Player Liaisons Bojan Krkic, and Deco in the department.

Mancini had a brief career as a footballer starting at Manchester City and finishing at New York Cosmos, before studying to become a Sporting Director. He then worked as a scout for Fiorentina under Daniel Prade from 2019 to 2023, before joining Nicola Legrottaglie’s team at Sampdoria in 2023, where he operated as Sporting Director.
The Catalan daily say that the move has been in the works for several weeks. Mancini would have played a part in Estanis Pedrola’s move from Barca Atletic to Sampdoria last summer. Despite the seemingly imminent arrival of Dani Olmo, doubts about Deco’s management are starting to grow, and he will be hoping Mancini can no doubt share some of the strain.
