For the most part, Real Madrid’s scouting in Brazil has paid off massively. They signed Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes in 2018 and 2019 respectively, and both players have been key in the years since. They will hope that Endrick Felipe follows in their footsteps, and not the ones of Reinier Jesus.
Reinier signed for Real Madrid in 2020 for €30m, and during his time in the Spanish capital, he has struggled massively. Loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Girona and Frosinone have been disappointing, and now a permanent sale is being sought for the 22-year-old, who’s been banished to Castilla this summer.
As per Diario AS, there are several clubs interested in signing Reinier – one of whom is Rayo Vallecano. At this stage, no offer has been submitted to Real Madrid by anyone.
Real Madrid will hope to move on from Reinier very soon, although it’s unlikely that they will be able to sell him this summer – unless they’re willing to give him away for free.
