Manchester City consider “complicated” dream signing of Real Madrid star to replace Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid are set to complete the signing of Julian Alvarez, in what would be a massive signing. It would also be a club-record sale for Manchester City, who have already started to search for the Argentine’s replacement.

Marca have reported that Man City have established three targets. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is top of the list at this stage, although their dream signing is Rodrygo Goes.

Man City are aware that Rodrygo would be a very “complicated” signing, given the importance that he holds at Real Madrid. However, the addition of Kylian Mbappe to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad is seen as a crack that they can exploit over the remainder of the summer- agreeing personal terms is seen as the biggest obstacle.

Real Madrid would also demand a large fee, but considering the resources that Man City have, it’s unlikely that Rodrygo would be completely out of their range. In truth, it may not be the worst idea for Los Blancos to sell, as they already have Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz as ready-made replacements.

  1. “Real Madrid would also demand a large fee”

For 200mil it would be plausible and give us some funds to buy world class young CD, Alphonso and RW future backup for Carva.

  2. There is no way city will spend that kind of money and not on a position that does not need replacing. We have so many attacking options. Its all Media talk

        1. So are you, maybe even bigger than him. But thats besides the point, which I will spell out to you:
          Established media > you.

          👀

  3. Manchester City to pay 200m for a player?
Thats wet dreams that cant happen in Txikis presence.
This is pure media extravaganza that cant add up in Citys buying hirach.
May be buying Ezee can make sense.

    1. Rodrygo has a release clause of 1B. Of course, if your brain wasn’t smooth you’d be bothered to search for it. City wants him and they are free to pay that.
200m was mentioned on other news outlet as some sort of a middle ground, some even pointed to 250.

Rodrygo was a big reason for their CL elimination twice with 3 clutch goals against them and is a CL winner. That’s worth more than 200.

Don’t comment if you lack basic knowledge.
