WATCH: Barcelona starlet celebrates crucial goal at 2024 Olympics by obliterating corner flag

There’s no doubt that Fermin Lopez has been the star of the show for Spain at the 2024 Olympic Games. The 21-year-old has amassed four goals across five appearances (four starts) in France, and his latest strike was a massive one, as it was the equaliser during La Rojita’s eventual 2-1 victory over Morocco in the semi-finals.

Fermin finished well after the ball broke his way inside the Morocco penalty area, and to celebrate the occasion, he obliterated the corner flag. Footage from the match showed the Barcelona midfielder watching the moment on the big screens inside the stadium, which he couldn’t help laughing about.

Unlike Spain, it was the end of the road for that corner flag for these Olympic Games. La Rojita will contest the gold medal match on Friday evening, where they will either play hosts France, or underdogs Egypt for the prize that they narrowly missed out on three years ago in Japan.
