Atletico Madrid are pushing hard to secure the signing of Julian Alvarez, their dream addition to Diego Simeone’s squad. Talks are going well between themselves and Manchester City, and there is confidence that an agreement can be reached in the coming days.
At this stage, Atleti and Man City are still negotiating a deal for Alvarez. The former’s latest offer was not satisfactory, which is why it has been increased. Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano have reported that Los Colchoneros’ latest proposal is worth €75m – this figures includes add-ons.

It would be a major surprise if Alvarez were not to join Atleti this summer, given that he is also said to be prioritising a link-up with Simeone, his fellow Argentine. Man City’s asking price is closer to being met, which bodes well for those at the Metropolitano.
Once an agreement between Atletico Madrid and Man City has been reached, it’s expected that Samu Omorodion’s departure will become a reality. Chelsea are pushing hard to sign the U21 and U23 Spain star, as they have been for most of the summer.
