Dani Olmo contract length revealed as Barcelona send third offer to RB Leipzig

Barcelona have made a third bid for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo, this time increasing the amount of the fixed fee. The German side had swiftly rejected their opening two proposals.

Early on Thursday it was reported that Barcelona had agreed terms on a deal with Olmo, and Fabrizio Romano has since confirmed this to be the case. He will sign a six-year deal with the Blaugrana – if they can agree a deal for Olmo.

Barcelona had sent a bid worth €65m, consisting of up to €50m in a fixed fee, and then a further €15m in variables. Now their third offer, after that was turned down, consists of €55m in a fixed fee, €4m in easy to fulfil objectives, and a further €3m on more ‘difficult’ add-ons. In the previous reporting, Barcelona believed that a fixed fee of €55m would be sufficient to get the green light from Leipzig.

The one issue that there is still little clarity on is the payment terms. Barcelona want to spread the payments out over multiple years, while Leipzig are keen to get most of the cash in within the next year. It is believed they will move for Porto’s Francisco Conceicao if the Olmo deal goes through, with the 26-year-old prioritising a move to Barcelona.
