Surprise name emerges as candidate to be sold by Barcelona

Barcelona may be losing hope of signing Nico Williams this summer, but they are still planning to make at least one big move in the transfer window – probably Dani Olmo. He wouldn’t be the only addition, but for more players to arrive, sales would be necessary over the coming weeks.

Many of the names to have been linked with exits have fallen by the wayside – Ronald Araujo, Ansu Fati and Frenkie de Jong are all injured, while Raphinha was no interest in leaving. This has led to others being considered, and now a two-man list has been established by the club’s sporting department.

As per Tot Costa, Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres are the two leading candidates to be moved on this summer. Both players are not expected to be regular starters during the new season.

Ferran is probably fair enough, given that Barcelona would be well covered in each of his position if signings are made. On the other hand, Gundogan is a surprise, especially considering how much of a leader he is – something that is lacking in Hansi Flick’s current squad. Furthermore, he wouldn’t command a large transfer fee, unless it came from Saudi Arabia.

  1. Yeah market is wild for players past their prime who love to be uncomfortable in dressing rooms when losing. Hilariously enough, he picked chronic losers diIdoIona 🤣 wtf was he expecting.
