Real Madrid have already sold five players from La Fabrica this summer: Rafa Marin, Alex Jimenez, Marvin Park, Peter Federico and Alvaro Carrillo. More names will be added to this list in the coming weeks, with one of those expected to be Alvaro Rodriguez.
Rodriguez shot to prominence during the second half of the 2022-23 season, when he scored one and assisted another during a brief spell in the first team. However, he was not seen at all during the previous campaign, and because of this, Real Madrid are prepared to sell him this summer.
Interest has come from clubs in La Liga and Segunda, but that has been shelved for now as Rodriguez is on Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States. Diario AS say that the Uruguayan youngster is hoping to impress so that he can secure the best possible move later in the transfer window.
Rodriguez’s situation is similar to that of Juanmi Latasa, who is also in the United States. Real Madrid are hoping to generate more interest in his services, so that they can orchestrate a sale upon the first team squad’s return to the Spanish capital next month.
