Real Madrid still remain in the dark over Andriy Lunin’s intentions this summer, having agreed a new five-year deal with the Ukraine shot-stopper. The 25-year-old’s silence on his future has brought about no shortage of speculation that he is looking for a departure.
Los Blancos have received enquiries from abroad about Lunin, but so far nothing further. Initially it had been reported that Real Madrid would be looking for €30m for Lunin to be allowed to leave, but now The Athletic say that if agent Jorge Mendes wants to extract his client from the Santiago Bernabeu, it will be a €20m offer that is required.
Lunin is believed to be after more protagonism now that Thibaut Courtois is back and fit, but it seems there is relatively little demand for starting goalkeepers at big clubs this summer, and still less so after Chelsea signed Filip Jorgensen. Lunin is yet to make any public declaration on his future, and his future remains in the air.
