Real Betis make approach for departure-bound Borussia Dortmund starlet

Following the departures of Willian Jose and Borja Iglesias, Real Betis are in need of a new striker. Manuel Pellegrini only has Chimy Avila and Juanmi as senior options for the start of the upcoming season, with Cedric Bakambu currently out injured.

Betis have been linked with a multitude of attackers in the last few weeks. The latest target is more concrete, as El Desmarque (via Marca) have reported that they have submitted an offer to take Youssoufa Moukoko on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.

Moukoko is destined to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, having fallen out of favour over the last 12 months. He was previously linked with Barcelona, and he could now get his move to La Liga, with Betis on this occasion.

Negotiations between Betis and Dortmund would not be straightforward. Moukoko earns a salary that is way too much for Los Verdiblancos to cover – they would require the Bundesliga giants to cover a significant percentage, or the teenager would need to reduce his salary in order to make the move.
