Osasuna agree deal to sell club icon to Qatari side Al Rayyan for €10m

Osasuna have had a quiet summer transfer window up until now, but that could be able to change. If all goes well, they are about to complete the sale of club captain David Garcia, whose set to become the latest player to make the move to the Middle East.

As reported by Diario AS, Osasuna have agreed a deal worth €10m with Qatarai side Al Rayyan. Personal terms had already been finalised, and the 30-year-old has already made the trip to Doha to undergo medical examinations.

Garcia has been at Osasuna for his entire career, but he will now embark on a new adventure. His departure is a blow for new manager Vicente Moreno, who will not require a replacement – fortunately, €10m should be more than enough to find a sufficient one.

Garcia will become the second Spanish international to make the move from La Liga to Qatar, following in the footsteps of Joselu Mato (who has joined Al-Gharafa.
