Hansi Flick has taken the opportunity to assess his Barcelona squad over the last couple of weeks, although some have had more of a chance to impress compared to others. Clement Lenglet is one of the few senior players to have been ever-present, and so far, he appears to have taken his chance.
Lenglet has been a stick-on to leave Barcelona for the third successive summer. He was not counted on by Xavi Hernandez, who shipped him off to Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa respectively. The Catalans have hoped to sell him on this occasion, although another loan seems much more likely.
Nothing is advanced in Lenglet’s situation, so he remains at Barcelona for now. He’s impressed Flick during pre-season, as revealed by Tot Costa.

Ronald Araujo’s hamstring injury could open the door for Lenglet to have one final chance in a Barcelona jersey. He’ll have the opportunity to impress Flick further during the pre-season tour of the United States, which kicks off against Manchester City in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Well lets just say that a man with two left feet would impress if the competition was a man with no legs and a man with one leg.
