Clubs from multiple countries have enquired about Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin

Real Madrid will begin the season with Thibaut Courtois as their number one, but who their back-up goalkeeper is remains a mystery – to the club too.

Los Blancos were confident in signing Lunin to a five-year renewal, but the 25-year-old continues to give them the cold shoulder when it comes to signing his new deal. Various reports suggest they believe Lunin is looking for a new job, and Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked to him. The former have now signing Filip Jorgensen, suggesting that they are no longer in the market for a goalkeeper.

Matteo Moretto has confirmed to Fabrizo Romano’s Daily Briefing that Real Madrid have received enquiries about Lunin not only from England, but another big club abroad. However there is no sign of a formal proposal in sight, and even if he is looking to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, there seems to be little in the way of options that are to his liking.

All the same, his future remains uncertain going into the second half of the transfer window. If Lunin does move on, Los Blancos will look to move for Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.
