Barcelona are looking to make a splash in the transfer market this summer after Real Madrid brought in Kylian Mbappe this month. However who that star is and how they afford the deal remains to be seen.
President Joan Laporta has been adamant they can make big signings as they please, but most reporting is that Barcelona will need to sell first. Their top target is Athletic Club winger Nico Wililams, who is due to make a decision on his future next week, while Dani Olmo is believed to be the alternative. Some outlets say that the Catalan giants will try to sign both though.

As per Matteo Moretto, speaking to Football España, Barcelona are working on both deals simultaneously, and are serious about both players. However that comes with the caveat that until Williams’ future is resolved, Olmo’s will remain unclear.
The RB Leipzig playmaker grew up half an hour outside of Barcelona, but is also a target for Bayern Munich. If given the choice though, Olmo will indeed prioritise a move back to Catalonia this summer, which augers will for Barcelona. That said, any discussions for Olmo are not thought to be advanced with Leipzig.
