Real Madrid working on two star additions for summer of 2025

Real Madrid have wrapped up the majority of their business for the 2024 summer transfer window, and as has become custom for Los Blancos, have already started work on their targets a year in advance.

The most widely reported case has been Alphonso Davies who, is involved in a contract stand-off with Bayern Munich. With a year left on his contract, it looks as if he will not sign a new one, and while it initially appeared as if Real Madrid might move for him this summer, Bayern’s demands mean it will likely be next summer.

The other deal they are working on, as revealed to Football España by Matteo Moretto, is Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The England international is also out of contract next summer, and is yet to take a decision on his future, and Los Blancos are now working on getting him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

As has also been noted in England, Alexander-Arnold’s friendship with Jude Bellingham could be crucial in his decision-making. It is believed that Bellingham has been trying to persuade Alexander-Arnold to join him in the Spanish capital next summer. Liverpool meanwhile will be trying to renew his deal as a matter of priority.
