Real Madrid star no longer considering summer exit

Real Madrid have already parted ways with three first team players: Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez and Joselu Mato. It’s unlikely that any more will leave before the end of the summer, although the most likely to do so could be Dani Ceballos, who was unhappy with his lack of playing time last season.

Ceballos only played around half of Real Madrid’s matches, and only a handful of those were from the start. However, with Kroos having now departed – and no replacement to be signed – he does have more of an opportunity to play during the upcoming 2024-25 season.

On the back of this, Marca have reported that Ceballos is committed to staying at Real Madrid this summer. In recent weeks, speculation had emerged that he was considering a move away because of his squad status, but that now no longer appears to be the case.

Ceballos will have chances of impress Carlo Ancelotti during Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States. He and Luka Modric are the only two senior central midfielders making the trip, and this gives him an advantage over his competitors ahead of the new season kicking off in three weeks’ time.
