Real Madrid have Alphonso Davies situation ‘under control’

Despite the fact it looks as if Alphonso Davies‘ chances of arriving in the Spanish capital this summer are increasingly slim, Real Madrid are relaxed about the scenario they find themselves in. Even with Bayern pushing for a new deal for Davies, they feel calm about their chances of signing him.

As Matteo Moretto has told Football España, Los Blancos feel they have the situation under control with Davies. Back in spring, it was reported for the first time that they had reached an agreement on personal terms with Davies, and they are aware that in just six months, Davies will be free to sign a contract with them.

Bayern had reportedly reached a deal with Davies too, but the board at the Bavarian club did not give the green light, feeling the terms were too expensive. Now it seems they are resigned to potentially losing Davies on a free, given there has been no significant movement since. In Moretto’s words, ‘both sides are aware of what is happening’.
