Paris Saint-Germain make contact with top Barcelona target Nico Williams

Barcelona have made it perfectly clear that Athletic Club winger Nico Williams is on their agenda this summer, with President Joan Laporta even telling a fan that they will try to sign him. At no point has there been any suggestion that they would not have competition for him though, with a €58m release clause well within the means of most top clubs.

The 22-year-old has been offered personal terms by Barcelona, and the club assures that they can pay his release clause, but so far, there has been no confirmation of that from other sources. Chelsea and Arsenal are still interested in Williams too, although The Athletic explain that Arsenal may have to sell first.

One team that would not is Paris Saint-Germain. Manager Luis Enrique will be familiar with Williams from his time as Spain coach, and the same outlet go on to reveal that PSG have been in contact with Willliams’ agent over a potential move.

Working in Barcelona’s favour is that Williams’ preference is to remain in Spain this summer, either at Athletic or if he moves, but little can be ruled out. Athletic have also remained confident that he will remain at the club, with manager Ernesto Valverde saying that he expects Williams back in training on the 12th of August, when his holidays end.

  2. He is the best player in this season and his talent will help the club.

Secondly the player like Feran Torres need to leave the club and Raphina should stay in the club

Also others players like Cancelo and Kante should be loans.

Noah Darvich, Vitor and Fati need times to play especially in this preseason.
