Barcelona star considering large offer from Middle East on three-year deal

Barcelona midifielder Ilkay Gundogan was their most consistent in the position and their leading assist provider last season, but he could be on the way out of the club. The 33-year-old arrived last season on a free from Manchester City.

According to Esport3, Gundogan is considering a three-year offer from Qatari side Al-Sadd, which would no doubt be significant in terms of the money on offer too. The German midfielder has just a year left on his current deal at the club, although there is an option for a further year too.

It may be a coincidence, but just last week a report emerged claiming that new manager Hansi Flick was intending on giving Gundogan a lesser role in the team this coming season. The reasons given were to improve the intesity of Barcelona’s play, and his exit would help ease their salary limit struggles too, although clearly his exit would have a major impact on their play too.
