Kylian Mbappe arrival forces Real Madrid to sell several of their La Fabrica gems

It’s been a fairly busy summer for Real Madrid. Earlier this week, Kylian Mbappe was presented at the Santiago Bernabeu following his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, but although no transfer fee was paid, the financial outlay for the 25-year-old Frenchman is very significant, to say the least.

Because of this, MD say that Real Madrid need to start bring funds back in. Their plan to do so is by selling numerous of their promising La Fabrica stars, which includes the likes of Mario Martin, Nico Paz and Alvaro Rodriguez – all of whom are unlikely to feature for the first team during the upcoming season. If sales do take place, they would include sell-on and buy-back clauses, as is usually the case when Los Blancos part ways with their younger players.

Espanyol have been deterred by this. The report states that they have tried to sign the three aforementioned players on loan, but Real Madrid’s stance of selling them means that they are likely to miss out.

The sales of Rafa Marin, Alex Jimenez and Marvin Park have brought some funds in to Real Madrid, but it appears that more are needed. It remains to be seen who ends up leaving over the remainder of the summer transfer window.
