‘Zero’ – Fabrizio Romano shuts down exit talk for Barcelona star amid Premier League links

Barcelona winger Raphinha has almost constantly been linked with a move away from the club over the past year, but so far, the Brazilian remains on course to stay at the club.

Saudi Arabia have been a consistent theme to those links, as an entity that can afford a large outlay, and following the same thread, this week interest from Newcastle United filtered into the media. However Fabrizio Romano has told The Daily Briefing that he has ‘zero information on Raphinha being linked to Premier League sides’. He also referenced a post from Raphinha this week that he was looking forward to a third season at Barcelona.

One Brazilian much more likely to leave is Vitor Roque: the 19-year-old’s future this summer hinges on Barcelona’s financial fair play situation, but there are no ongoing discussions for him.

In theory, Raphinha is one of Barcelona’s most valuable assets on the market, but in addition to a lack of offers, he has still not contracted a new agent since Deco left him to become his Sporting Director. It makes any move much more difficult to pull off without damaging Raphinha’s ego, yet potentially having him on the team next season.
