Real Madrid send big-money signing to train with Castilla kids

Real Madrid have returned to action this week under the orders  of Carlo Ancelotti, and perhaps more pertinently under fitness coach Antonio Pintus. Despite having just eight first-team players available to train with, Reinier Jesus is not being used by Ancelotti.

The Brazilian, who cost Los Blancos €30m four years ago, and has gone on loan three times, is not registered as a first-team player, and so has been sent to train with Real Madrid Castilla under Raul Gonzalez, report Diario AS. The exit door has been opened to Reinier, and he has been told to find another home, which will in all likelihood be on loan again.

It is still somewhat surprising that Reinier is not being used by Ancelotti, regardless of which side he is registered to, but it may be their method of making it clear that he should get working on a move. In both of his last two loans to Girona and Frosinone, Reinier started off in the team and doing well, before injuries got in the way, and in both cases, he never made it back into the team. With two years left on his deal, Real Madrid would likely rather find a permanent exit, but his wages may see him reject that idea.
