Real Madrid stepping up efforts to sign 16-year-old talent, club-to-club talks expected

Real Madrid will not be bogged down by missing out on Leny Yoro. Club officials have already moved on from the saga, and they’re about to step up their efforts to sign a different teenage talent: Franco Mastantuono.

Mastantuono has been on Real Madrid’s radar for some time. He’s very highly-regarded in the offices of the 15-time European champions, and although he cannot join until next summer, work is being done to secure an agreement in the coming week/months, akin to the Endrick Felipe situation.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, River Plate director Matias Patanian has travelled to Spain, and one of the items on his itinerary involves the situation with Mastantuono. It’s likely that discussions with Real Madrid officials could take place in the next few days.

Mastantuono is a top talent, and at the tender age of 16, he’s already a regular in the River Plate first team. Real Madrid will be confident that they can secure his signature, and the sooner an agreement is reached, the better for them.
