Barcelona have released their new home kit for the 2024-25 season, which marks their 125th anniversary since they were founded in 1899. The did so with a video featuring Ronaldinho that paid homage to their roots.
During the video, Ronaldinho opens things, and there are historic moments from Barcelona’s past, both men’s and women’s team, as well as references to the art, culinary and cultural routes of Barcelona in Catalonia, as exemplified by the Castellers (human towers) and Pa amb tomaquet (bread with tomato) traditional to the region. In addition to a number of the current players, Pau Gasol, Hristo Stoichkov, Andres Iniesta and Carles Puyol are also involved.

The kit has been made available to buy for a price of €114.99, but will cost fans a remarkable €184.99 to have a name on the back. That is despite the fact the first kits available will not be the same as the ones worn by the players, and feature a different sponsor logo.

The kit also sees a return to the half and half design rather than stripes, which was seen during Barcelona’s 2008-09 treble season and during their 1998-99 season, as the club marked it’s 100th anniversary at the time.
