Kylian Mbappe will not be present as Real Madrid take on Barcelona in their US preseason tour, but at the very least he will be available for the beginning of their competitive matches.
The 25-year-old confirmed yesterday during his press conference that he would be fit for their European Supercup clash against Atalanta on the 14th of August, but did not give any clues away on whether he would require surgery on his broken nose. El Chiringuito report that he will not go under the knife to fix his nose after assessments made during his medical.

Nevertheless, he will not be present on their preseason tour to the USA, where they will take on AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea. Their information is that he will be rested for the tour ahead of a long season with an upper limit of 72 games next year, excluding internationals. After Los Blancos finish their final friendly against Chelsea, they will return, likely arriving back on the 8th of August in Madrid.

Mbappe will start training on the 7th of August, and El Chiringuito go on to say that he will almost certainly debut against Atalanta in Warsaw, Poland, a week later. Real Madrid‘s other players that were involved in the Euros or Copa America semi-finals or later will not head to the United States either.
