On Tuesday, Kylian Mbappe was officially presented as a Real Madrid player at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 25-year-old will wear the number nine jersey next season, and understandably, many supporters have been rushing to secure their own shirt with Mbappe name and number on the back.
However, they are in limited supply after a wave of sales earlier this month. More were available on Tuesday at the club shop, but as per Marca, 100+ of those were purchased by Wilfreid Mbappe, Kylian’s father. A video from Tiktok user goparis2024 captured the moment that Mbappe Snr collected the jerseys.

Mbappe Snr was a celebrity in his own right on Tuesday, as fans recognised him during his time in the Real Madrid club shop. Security personnel had to escort him away as he exited the premises. Nevertheless, it would have been a very proud day for him and the rest of the Mbappe family to see Kylian’s transfer become a reality.
