Lamine Yamal in dreamland after Euro 2024 victory

Spain star Lamine Yamal was almost lost for words, as La Roja secured the Euro 2024 title.

Luis De la Fuente’s side showed quality and resolve to seal a 2-1 final win over England in Berlin.

On a difficult night in the German capital, victory was sealed in the final stages when Mikel Oyarzabal poked home the clinching goal.

The 17 year-old has enjoyed a sensational competition, breaking a succession of records, capped off by winning the Player of the Tournament.

The teenager is expected to be granted an extended summer break by Barcelona, with the Catalan giants already back in first team training.

On an emotional night for the rising star, he thanked his family and teammates, as he became the youngest ever player to win the European Championship.

“I’m very happy, this is a dream,” as per Marca.

“It is the best gift I could have been given, I want to go with my family now to celebrate.

“When they tied the game, they put us under a lot of pressure, but this team, no matter what, always come back and ends up winning.

“My teammates helped me a lot and I’m very comfortable with them and very happy.”
