Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams backed to handle Euro 2024 final pressure

Spain duo and Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams face the biggest night of their careers against England in the Euro 2024 final.

La Roja have stormed to the final in Berlin, with their two wingers vital to the charge, with Luis de la Fuente’s side winning all six games in the competition.

Lamine Yamal has stolen headlines throughout the last month as he set new records for the youngest ever appearance maker, assister and goal scorer in the tournament’s history.

On the opposite flank, Williams has shown exactly why Barcelona are battling to sign him from Athletic Club, as part of a potent Spanish attack.

Both players celebrated a birthday ahead of the final, with Lamine Yamal turning 17, and Williams now 22.

However, this is a major step forward for the pair, but de la Fuente has no doubt they are ready to take on the challenge.

“It’s not difficult to keep them focused. They are players with a maturity that’s not appropriate for ones so young.

“They are very well supported by the experienced players in the squad. But it’s the team, the group, that gives us power.”

Spain are also expected to avoid punishment if they break a German law over Lamine Yamal playing beyond 11pm local time due to working laws on people aged under 18.
