The battles between Sevilla and Real Betis on the pitch are always bitter, and the one that is about to take place in the boardroom could be equally as competitive. Both clubs have set their sights on the same player, in their pursuit of strengthening their respective squads ahead of next season.
As reported by El Chiringuito (via ED), Sevilla and Betis are competing to sign Juanmi Latasa, who returned to Real Madrid at the end of last season following the conclusion of his loan spell with Getafe. The 23-year-old is surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu, and it’s certain that he will be moving on again this summer.
Real Betis and Sevilla are both looking to strengthen in attack, and Latasa would be a solid depth option for either club. He didn’t have the best season with Getafe in 2023-24, amassing only five goals across all competitions, but a move to Andalusia could bring better luck.
