Spain are hoping for a sixth victory at Euro 2024, and if they can achieve it, they would make their way into this weekend’s final against England/The Netherlands. Unfortunately for La Roja, they’ve suffered an early low, with France taking the lead in Munich inside the opening 10 minutes.
In the fifth minute, Spain passed up a huge opportunity to score, with Fabian Ruiz blazes a header over the bar after great work from Lamine Yamal. France created a very similar chance three minutes later, with Kylian Mbappe setting up Randal Kolo Muani, and the PSG striker succeeded where his club teammate did not.
France lead after only eight minutes! 😲

It’s a very bad start for Spain, although they have come from behind to win already in this summer’s tournament – they did so against Georgia in the round of 16. Luis de la Fuente will need a big response from his side if they are to get into the final.
