Third Serie A club linked with move for Barcelona forward

Barcelona forward Vitor Roque will have a chance to impress new manager Hansi Flick in preseason training, but the majority of reports have linked him with an exit this summer, either on loan or permanently. A third suitor has emerged for his signature.

Napoli and Fiorentina have both been linked with Roque, although Moise Kean has now signed for the Viola. After Lazio President Claudio Lotito confirmed they were no longer looking to sign Mason Greenwood, but had a player ’10 times better’, La Reppublica have reported that Roque is that player.

The information is quoted by Sport, who say that Roque is keen to stay at Barcelona, and Sporting Director Deco is also keen to remain in Barcelona. However his situation likely depends on what other moves happen, and what capacity they have to manoeuver in their salary limit.

Roque has not been given a fair go at Barcelona, and has become a victim of internal politics and a difficult financial situation at the club. Either way, Roque will have to choose his next step carefully given his tough landing in Europe. Until Flick has had a look at him though, Barcelona President Joan Laporta has blocked any exit.
