French based star emerges as Barcelona ‘low cost’ transfer option

Barcelona could turn their attention to Metz midfielder Lamine Camara as a cut price summer transfer option.

La Blaugrana are prioritising a new midfielder for the 2024/25 season with the club looking to bring in a different type of player profile.

The brief is heavily focused on a midfielder to add physicality and endurance to the Barcelona engine room.

With Everton star Amadou Onana seemingly out of Barcelona’s price range the search has widened to other targets.

As per the latest update from Diario Sport, Metz midfielder Lamine Camara has emerged as an option, as part of a cheaper deal.

Metz’s relegation to Ligue 2 strengthens Barcelona’s chances of a deal with his current valuation at €10m.

Ahead of preseason, Metz are anticipating offers for Camara, with interest from AS Monaco and Galatasaray.

Camara joined Metz in 2022 from the Generation Foot academy which produced Sadio Mane and he already 20 caps and goals for Senegal.
