Promising Real Madrid youngster with senior appearances on the verge of exit

It looked at Christmas as if Real Madrid may have a genuine promise breaking through into the first team, after Nico Paz had made eight appearances by King’s Day in Spain. Yet everything suggests that he will be on his way out this summer.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been a fixture for Castilla this season, and was highlighted as one of the most talented options available for in La Fabrica. Yet Marca say that Real Madrid are not averse to a departure for his growth, and he is currently studying his options to leave the club. The side named are newly-promoted Leganes, which would allow him to stay put in Madrid. It seems likely that it would be a similar structure to deals involving other youngsters for Los Blancos, retaining 50% of his rights.

Paz even opened his account against Napoli in the Champions League, but since the Copa del Rey appearance in January against Arandina, Paz has not been seen in the first team. Arda Guler’s return from injury likely has more to do with it than anything he did, but like Fran Garcia, Miguel Gutierrez and Takefusa Kubo, the chance to grow elsewhere seems the most sure path for his development.

  1. Too many acquisition of outside talents or stars rather than grooming their own. That is Madrid biggest problem. So many talented wasted just like that. Too focus on shirts sales.
